Finding the maneuver worth flying
A parametric sweep across delta-V and maneuver direction produces dozens of candidate burns for a single conjunction. Pareto filtering narrows that field to the ones actually worth considering: candidates where no other option delivers more collision risk reduction for the same or less delta-V.
The result is a short list of tradeoffs (fuel spent against risk removed), not a single guess.
